Bowdoin Street Health Center is committed to keeping you and the members of our community healthy. We often team up with Dorchester residents, local businesses and other community-based agencies to identify and design programs that address community health concerns. The Health Center is a member of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston., which is world-renowned for excellence in patient care, research, teaching and community service. A Havard-teaching hospital, the medical center offers medical expertise in cardiology, cancer care, women's health, diabetes/vascular surgery, obstetrics, transplantation and AIDS. If you need specialized care, testing or hospitalization, our clinical staff can refer you or your family members to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center or Children's Hospital. Reports on tests and specialized care are sent to our providers so they can manage all your care needs. We try to make your visits with us as convenient and comfortable as possible. We offer walk-in hours weekday mornings from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and our open access program guarantees that you will receive an appointment with a physician or nurse practitioner within 24 to 48 hours when you call us. We care about how you feel about your visit to the health center. We will periodically ask you to give us your feedback after a visit so that we can hear what you like and don't like about the services we provide. We are committed to listening to your responses and making any necessary changes to improve the care we provide. Most of our new patients find out about us from our current patients, so if you are happy with your care at Bowdoin Street, please consider referring a friend or family member of any age to us. We will make certain that they receive the very best of care!
